This three week program will provide intermediate students the opportunity to improve skills and gain strength, and it is designed to give them a deeper understanding of ballet as an art form. The schedule includes technique, pas de deux, pointe, and batterie. Additional classes may include variations, character dance, fencing, dance history, and floor barre. Note: Limited chaperoned housing is available for students in this program who are 14 years old by June 10, 2012. All students may elect to attend Sunday excursions to Bay Area attractions.
San Francisco Bay Area students ages 12-13, who do not require housing, are invited to audition in San Francisco ONLY.
This four week program dedicated to advanced/pre-professional students is designed to explore the demands of a professional career, exposing them to the unique repertory of San Francisco Ballet. The schedule includes a minimum of 15 classes per week to include technique, pointe, pas de deux, batterie, and variations. Additional classes may also include contemporary dance and repertoire, fencing, dance history, and Pilates mat classes. Chaperoned accommodations are available to students ages 15 and up, and all students may elect to attend Sunday excursions to Bay Area attractions.
Students attending the Summer Session who display exceptional potential, and who are old enough to live away from home, may be invited to attend the school-year program.

Students are selected to attend Summer Session by audition only.
Limited scholarships are awarded at the sole discretion of the School.
All enrolled students are required to attend the full program. Class scheduling and level placement are at the sole discretion of San Francisco Ballet School.
Please do not call the School for acceptance status. Applicants will be notified of audition results within two weeks of their audition. Students who are accepted will receive instructions for securing their place in the program.
