Teacher Workshops
Every year, Dance In Schools and Communities (DISC) offers teachers the opportunity to enhance their direct experience with the art form of dance. Led by professional artist educators, DISC Teacher Workshops invite participants to move, listen, watch, discuss, and write about culturally diverse dance and musical forms.Using a cross-disciplinary approach, the workshops help encourage teachers to develop creative strategies for integrating the DISC residency program into their classroom curriculum. The workshops also provide teachers with additional curricular resources as well as the chance to network and exchange ideas.
