Ballet 101

A San Francisco Ballet Appreciation Course

San Francisco Ballet seeks to nurture adult who are curious about the Ballet and dance. Ballet 101 is a five-class program designed to harness the talent and knowledge at SF Ballet and share it with interested, committed adults in a classroom setting.

The course includes a combination of lectures, discussions with Ballet Masters and Company dancers, department and facility tours, as well as one ballet technique class for beginners with a SF Ballet School faculty member. Past instructors have included Ballet Master and Assistant to the Artistic Director Ricardo Bustamante and former SF Ballet Principal Dancer and current School Faculty Member Parrish Maynard, as well as current and former Company dancers.

The 2010 session of Ballet 101 will meet five evenings (Jan 4, 11, 25 and Feb 1 and 8) from 6-8pm at the SF Ballet Building, 455 Franklin Street (between Grove and Fulton). Cost of the course is $200 and is non-refundable.
