Born in Arlington, Virginia, Garen Price Scribner trained at the North Carolina School of the Arts, Maryland Youth Ballet, San Francisco Ballet School, and Boston Ballet School. He was named an apprentice in 2003, joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet a year later, and was promoted to soloist in 2008. Scribner’s diverse repertory includes featured roles in Tomasson’s Nutcracker and Morris’ Sylvia. Scribner has danced lead roles in Adam’s A rose by any other name; Balanchine’s “Diamonds”, “Rubies”, Square Dance, Stravinsky Violin Concerto, Symphony in C, and Theme and Variations; Caniparoli’s Ibsen’s House; Elo’s Double Evil; Forsythe’s in the middle, somewhat elevated; Lubovitch’s Elemental Brubeck; MacMillan’s Winter Dreams; McGregor’s Chroma and Eden/Eden; Morris’ A Garden, Joyride, and Maelstrom; Neumeier’s The Little Mermaid; Possokhov’s Fusion; Ratmansky’s Russian Seasons; Robbins’ West Side Story Suite; Tomasson’s Concerto Grosso and Nanna’s Lied; Tudor’s Jardin aux Lilas; and Wheeldon’s Ghosts, Number Nine, and Within the Golden Hour.
