Born in Dayton, Ohio, Dustin Shane Spero trained at Dayton Ballet and Orlando Ballet. He danced with Orlando Ballet and Washington Ballet  prior to joining the Company in 2010. His repertory includes Tomasson’s Giselle and Nutcracker, Balanchine’s Coppélia and Theme and Variations, Neumeier’s The Little Mermaid, Forsythe’s Artifact Suite, and MacMillan’s Winter Dreams. Throughout his career, he has also performed works by August Bournonville, Edwaard Liang, Mark Morris, Twyla Tharp, and Lila York.Born in Dayton, Ohio, Dustin Shane Spero trained at Dayton Ballet, The Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts, and Orlando Ballet. He danced with Orlando Ballet and The Washington Ballet prior to joining the Company in 2010.

Spero has danced featured roles in Tomasson’s Nutcracker (King of the Mice, Jack-in-the-Box, Spanish, and Russian).

His repertory also includes Tomasson’s Giselle, The Fifth Season, and Trio; Tomasson/Possokhov’s Don Quixote; Balanchine’s Coppélia and Theme and Variations; Lifar’s Suite en Blanc; Morris’ Beaux; Neumeier’s The Little Mermaid, Forsythe’s Artifact Suite; MacMillan’s Winter Dreams; Pages’ Guide to Strange Places; Robbins’ Glass Pieces; and Wheeldon’s Cinderella. Prior to joining the Company, Spero performed other works by Balanchine and Morris, as well as ballets by August Bournonville, Edwaard Liang, and Twyla Tharp.
