Born in Plano, Texas, Charlene Cohen trained with Corinne Kuhl-Reed and at School of American Ballet prior to starting her professional career with Miami City Ballet. Since joining the Company in 2007, Cohen has performed featured roles in Tomasson’s Swan Lake, Romeo & Juliet, and Giselle; Balanchine’s Coppélia, “Emeralds”, and The Four Temperaments; and Forsythe’s In the middle, somewhat elevated and The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude. Her repertory also includes a works by a diverse range of choreographers, including Michel Fokine, James Kudelka, Sir Kenneth MacMillan, Mark Morris, Yuri Possokhov, Jerome Robbins, Christopher Wheeldon, and Renato Zanella.
