Named Apprentice in 2013. Promoted to Corps de Ballet in 2014.
Born in Barcelona, Spain, Miranda Silveira trained in Barcelona and at Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma in Madrid before being awarded a merit scholarship to San Francisco Ballet School in 2011. She participated in the Trainee Program for one year before being named an apprentice in 2013. She joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet in 2014.
Silveira has performed featured roles in Tomasson’s Nutcracker (Spanish and French).
Her repertory also includes Tomasson’s Giselle and Caprice; Lifar’s Suite en Blanc; Makarova’s (after Petipa) Kingdom of the Shades, Act II from La Bayadère; Morris’ Maelstrom; Ratmansky’s Shostakovich Trilogy (Symphony #9 and Piano Concerto #1); Robbins’ Glass Pieces; and Wheeldon’s Cinderella (Spring).
