Company Membership:

Named an Apprentice in 2013. Promoted to Corps de Ballet.


From Shanghai, China, Mingxuan Wang trained at the Shanghai Dance School and San Francisco Ballet School. One of the School’s Trainees in 2012, he was named an apprentice in 2013 and joined the Company in 2014.

Wang has danced featured roles in Tomasson’s Nutcracker (Jack-in-the-Box, Chinese, and Russian).

His repertory also includes Tomasson’s Giselle, Caprice, and The Fifth Season; Wheeldon’s Cinderella (Winter and Courtier); Lifar’s Suite en Blanc; Possokhov’s Firebird; Ratmansky’s Shostakovich Trilogy (Symphony #9); and Robbins’ Glass Pieces.

Wang won junior 1st prize at the Seoul International Dance Competition in 2013 and was a finalist at the Prix de Lausanne International Ballet Competition in 2012.
