Company Membership:

Named Apprentice in 2013. Promoted to Corps de Ballet in 2014.


Born in San Francisco, California, Max Cauthorn trained at San Francisco Ballet School for eight years, including two years in the Trainee Program. He was named an apprentice in 2013 and joined the Company in 2014.

Cauthorn has performed featured roles in Tomasson’s Giselle (peasant pas de cinq) and Nutcracker (Chinese, Russian, and Bear), Caniparoli’s Tears, Lifar’s Suite en Blanc (pas de cinq), and Possokhov’s The Rite of Spring (Elders).

His repertory also includes Tomasson’s Caprice, Morris’ Maelstrom, Possokhov’s Firebird, Ratmansky’s Shostakovich Trilogy (Symphony #9), Robbins’ Glass Pieces, and Wheeldon’s Cinderella (Autumn).
