2008 Summer Session
June 23–July 25, 2008
This five-week intensive program is designed to give students aspiring to a professional career the opportunity to improve their skills, gain strength, and broaden their point of view. The core curriculum includes technique, pas de deux, pointe for girls, and batterie for boys. Additional classes may include variations, contemporary dance, character dance, fencing, dance history, and Pilates mat classes. Classes are taught by San Francisco Ballet School’s faculty and guests from San Francisco Ballet Company.
Students are selected to attend the program by audition only. San Francisco Ballet School’s National Audition Tour will be held in January and February 2008.
Students attending the summer session who display exceptional potential, and who are old enough to live away from home, may be invited to attend the school-year program.

All enrolled students are required to attend the full five-week program. Class scheduling and level placement are at the sole discretion of San Francisco Ballet School. Limited scholarships are awarded at the sole discretion of the School.
2008 Summer Session Time Line
- January and February 2008: National Audition Tour
- January 1 - February 20, 2008: DVD/Videotape/Auditions accepted)
- Applicants will be notified of audition results within two weeks of their audition. Students who are accepted will receive instructions for securing their place in the program.
- Early April 2008: Enrollment packets will be mailed.
- May 1, 2008: All enrollment forms, and full tuition and fees are due.
- May 31, 2008: Housing forms and fees are due.
PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE SCHOOL FOR ACCEPTANCE STATUS. APPLICANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED OF AUDITION RESULTS WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF THEIR AUDITION.
